Lew Wallace's Poetry
To say that Wallace dabbled in poetry would be an overstatement. He wrote one poem
during the Civil War, three for inclusion in Ben-Hur, and one after the Civil
War. This page has the text of his poems and images of the sheet music which composers
published using the three poems from Ben-Hur.
Ben-Hur Musuem
The Ben-Hur Museum in Crawfordsville, Indiana, is a great place to start your
research. The musuem was once the private study of Lew Wallace and it contains
many of his personal items. The coordinator/historian is
Cinnamon Catlin-Legutko.
